ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a St. Cloud police officer was shot and wounded while struggling to arrest a suspect. Police say the officers were trying to detain the 18-year-old man shortly after midnight Monday and he resisted arrest, drew a handgun and fired a shot that hit the officer in the hand. The Star Tribune reports the officer is hospitalized in stable condition. No officers returned fire while struggling with the suspect. Police have not said what crime the man was suspected of committing. The teen was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
