Blue Earth County is preparing to mail over 450 absentee ballots for the 2020 Primary Election, which will be held on Tuesday, August 11. This is nearly as many ballots as was sent out during the entire 2018 Primary Election and this year’s early voting period has yet to officially begin. Voting from home is part of the absentee ballot process. Minnesota State law allows any eligible voter to cast an absentee ballot for any reason. Voting at home may be a way for voters to reduce spread of disease and keep our communities healthy.
