A bonding bill is needed in the current special session of the Minnesota legislature according to State Senator Nick Frentz of North Mankato. Frentz says there are many reasons to support it.

“We need jobs. The state has a great credit rating. Interest rates are low and we’re about a billion dollars behind on deferred maintenance,” said Frentz.

Senate Republicans, on Friday morning, indicated they’d be willing to go as high as one-point-three-five billion dollars after supporting a bill of a little under a billion dollars during the regular session.
