As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to decline, some Minnesotans are questioning whether the state overreacted in its response. Minnesota Commissioner of Health Jan Malcolm:
“I think it’s definitely too early to say, have we peaked.. umm.. therefore did we overshoot our preparation, did we over-prepare? We don’t know we’ve peaked? It’s highly possible but we could see the pattern shift again.”
Malcolm says they will have a better idea of whether cases have peaked over the next couple of weeks following the massive protests and riots throughout the Twin Cities. But she adds a second wave of COVID is likely this fall.
