Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state continue a slow downward trend, despite concerns over a potential increase in the spread of COVID-19 two weeks after large scale protests surrounding the death of George Floyd. Kris Ehresmann is with the Minnesota Department of Health:

“If we see that there aren’t multiple cases and that’s true in multiple cases across the country, we will be looking at that to see if that will help inform future decisions.”

The percent of completed tests that have come back positive in Minnesota has dropped to 7-point-6 percent, down nearly 3 full percentage points in the last two weeks.
