George Floyd’s brother wants to use his testimony before Congress this week (WED) as a way to push for “transformative justice.”
“We can get transformative justice for all people who feel like they have been marginalized, disenfranchised, and dehumanized.”
Floyd family attorney Benjamin Crump says Philonise Floyd wants to bring forward measures on de-escalation and community policing.
Crump says Philonis also wants to stress the importance of all police officers being equipped with body cameras.
Crump says Philonise will also talk to Congress on other measures.
“We want to put forth legislation that talks about the importance of having police community, police, and de-escalation. Also the importance of police body camera videos.”
