Southern Blue Earth County took a hit from severe weather Tuesday night. Dan Sohre is with Protein Sources in Mapleton.

“The corn, for the most part, will recover,” said Sohre. “Unless it was completely wiped. The soybeans will not. So I’m sure, if the weather cooperates, there will be some soybeans re-planted in the next ten days.”

At last check, the USDA said corn and soybean planting was ahead of schedule in Minnesota.
