St. Peter, MN — On Thursday, May 28 at 4:00 PM local community members from St. Peter and Mankato will gather at Minnesota Square Park to publicly declare that George Floyd’s life matters; black lives matter; and the officers who they say murdered George Floyd and the Minneapolis Police Department must be held accountable.
“We stand in solidarity with the protesters in Minneapolis to work for social and racial justice right here in our community. We call upon the law enforcement agencies of Blue Earth and Nicollet counties to be proactive, to work with communities, and to establish space for dialogue and build trust especially with black and brown communities.”
Participants have been advised that we will be maintaining strict social distancing at 10-feet and wearing masks.
Activists will use #JusticeforGeorge to engage communities on social media.
The rally will start at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 28th
