North Mankato Mayor Mark Dehen is still holding out hope the city can open its swimming pool this summer.
“We’re hoping to do that,” said Dehen. “We may have to do social distancing but we were able to put 1500 people a day in that pool last year. And that fact that it’s a chlorinated pool eliminates the issue with the virus and the water.”
Dehen says they’re awaiting guidance from the Governor’s office and the National Pool Association.
