Every May, mental health awareness focuses on promoting steps for better mental wellness. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and resulting social isolation, awareness of mental health has never been more important.
Blue Earth County is recognizing this month by reminding the community that mental health services continue to be available despite the closure of buildings to walk-in traffic. Appointment times are available for psychiatric medication management and individual therapy for new referrals and existing clients.
“While many things have changed, one thing at our clinic remains the same: our commitment to your mental health,” said Sara Emich, Mental Health Center Supervisor.
Appointments will be offered via telehealth or telephone. In-person appointments will be considered on an individual basis.
The County’s Mental Health Clinic continues to follow recommendations made by the Minnesota Department of Health, Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention, and the Blue Earth County Board of Commissioners.
