Minnesota saw its highest one-day increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations Tuesday.
“We had an additional 57 hospitalizations reported which is the highest day-over-day increase we’ve seen,” said MDH Commissioner Jan Malcom.
Kris Ehresman with the Minnesota Department of Health says it’s hard to pinpoint a reason.
“We had some higher numbers of cases reported last week,” said Ehresman. “It could just be a function of that but I can’t say for certain.”
Malcom says ICU rates have remained relatively stable.
