Prairie’s Edge Casino Resort near Granite Falls was the first casino in Minnesota to reopen yesterday. Kevin Jensvold, Upper Sioux Community Tribal Chairman says revenues from the casino helps fund many things for reservation members.

Jensvold said the casino implemented a number of safety measures and plans to continue into the foreseeable future. He says they are exceeding guidelines and expectations for safety. Jensvold said he invited Governor Walz to attend the reopening but got no response. 780 people are allowed in the Casino at any one time which is about half capacity. Jensvold adds most of the employees have returned to work.
