Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison says he understands the opposition to his filing a lawsuit against a central Minnesota bar and restaurant owner in order to keep him from opening and violating the governor’s stay at home order…

“A lot of people are really frustrated with the pandemic, and I totally identify and am sympathetic with that, nobody likes the pandemic, we all want a different situation, but we’ve got to make sure that the transition is safe, is sensible.”

On Monday, the owner of Shady’s bars and restaurants backed down from his pledge to reopen on the advice of his lawyers. Ellison says he’s considering lawsuits against other businesses planning to violate the order.
