The state’s stay-at-home order has been lifted, but state officials are still encouraging those most vulnerable to limit their exposure to others. Kris Ehresman with the Minnesota Department of Health says those with pre-existing conditions are a larger percent of the population that many think.

“Many of us within the population look completely healthy but do have underlying health conditions,” said Ehresman. “It may be diabetes. It may be heart disease. We also have higher levels of obesity than we want to see in our population and that too many be a risk factor.”

Residents are being asked to continue to practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, stay home if you’re sick and limit gatherings to ten or less.
