The opening of businesses at the end of the current stay at home order is a small step in the right direction for those who have been increasing pressure to reopen the state fully. Republican Senate candidate Jason Lewis believes most Minnesotans were on board with the Governor’s stated goal of flattening the curve and building up healthcare capacity in the early days of the shutdown.

“At that point, I think there was great concern over this. Now I think its shifted, it has absolutely shifted. They’ve moved from, I’m concerned, I’m really concerned about this, to ok, what do we do to live with this?”

Lewis says the longer and longer the shutdown continues, the more skeptical people were of its effectiveness.
