Nurses are not feeling safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic. So says Minnesota Nurses Association (MNA) President Mary Turner.
“We are calling for more stringent protections, you know right now the whole personal protective equipment is kind of a joke.”
The MNA is planning a protest march next week (May 20) at the State Capitol over a lack of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), rising COVID-19 patient levels and the resumption of elective surgeries. Turner says the nurses will practice appropriate social distancing during the march.
