State health officials are reminding parents of the importance of keeping their children up-to-date with their vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We want to make sure that as social distancing requirements are relaxed that children who are not protected by the vaccine have the opportunity to get those vaccines so that they are not vulnerable to diseases like measles.”

Kris Ehresmann with the state Health Department says they’ve seen a 70-percent decrease in measles vaccines compared to last year.
