The following letter was shared with Mankato Area Public Schools’ seniors and their families regarding graduation plans. A district goal is honor students and celebrate this major life accomplishment in a special way.

Beginning the week of May 18, individual students and families will be scheduled for a visit to their high school.  During their time on campus, students will be recorded walking across the graduation stage in their cap and gown to receive their diploma.  Families will also have a professional photo taken with their graduate and high school principal.

A graduation video will be compiled for Central High School, East High School and West High School.  The name of each graduate will be read, and the video will feature students receiving their diplomas as well as student and staff speeches. Graduation ceremonies will be broadcast on public access television KTV (Consolidated Communications channel 8; Spectrum/Charter channel 180) at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 4; and played on KTOE (102.7 FM and 1420 AM).

A one-year Class of 2020 high school reunion will be scheduled for June 2021 to provide this year’s graduates with the opportunity to celebrate in a more traditional way at their alma mater.
