Walz administration officials say the state has the capacity to do over 10-thousand COVID-19 tests per day, but only about four-thousand are actually being performed:

“Sites all around the state that are listed on our website where testing’s available, and the providers are telling us people aren’t coming in.”

State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says people might still believe that COVID tests aren’t available — not the case. Officials say over 90 percent of Minnesotans live within an hour of a testing site, and anyone with symptoms of respiratory illness should be checked for COVID-19.
