The Governor’s Stay At Home order is in place until Monday, May 18th, which means bars and restaurants are limited to just take out and delivery. Whether he extends the order beyond that date remains to be seen, but regardless of what the Governor does at least one central Minnesota bar owner says he’s opening up. Kris Schiffler owns Shady’s bar locations in New Munich, Rice, Albany, Burtrum, Cold Spring, and St. Martin. He says all six of his locations will be open for dine-in customers next Monday and he’s hoping other small business owners join him.

Shiffler says he has a plan in place for safe social distancing:

Shiffler says he’s not trying to break the law and he’s not trying to get people sick, he says he just can’t survive on to-go orders alone much longer. He’s hoping several other owners join him in opening their doors on May 18th.
