Elective health care and surgeries are now allowed again in Minnesota. Governor Walz’s executive order became effective Monday. Dr. Andrew Lundquist from the Mankato Clinic says it’s important non-COVID patients still receive the care they need.

“A lot of people with various serious conditions have been forced to stay in their homes,” said Lundquist. “We, as an organization and an overall health care community, have been worried about our patients that haven’t been reaching out to us and not getting the care that they need.”

The executive order also allows dental and veterinary care to return.
