State officials this morning (9am news release, 10am conference call) announce public health guidelines for high school and college graduation ceremonies amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Tim Walz said yesterday (Thurs):
“A graduation and a graduation party is one of the markings of adulthood and that you have now entered another level. We’re working hard on this one. I’m trying to turn over every stone that we can do, and we know that that guidance needs to get out there quickly.”
Minneapolis Public Schools announced last week its Class of 2020 will have virtual graduation ceremonies.
