Minnesota Senate Republicans were joined by small business owners at the State Capitol today to share their ideas about opening up safely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We know that we need to practice social distancing, that that’s really important, but we also know that if we don’t open things up, we’re destroying whole communities if we’re not careful, and that’s what people are concerned about.”

Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka says he’s working closely with Governor Tim Walz to come up with solutions about opening up Minnesota business. Last week, Governor Walz extended a stay at home order for most Minnesotans through May 18th.
