With two more weeks of shutdown ahead, more and more people might turn to fishing as an approved activity. So, where are the big fish biting? DNR Fishing Expert Ray Ruiz says in Minnesota the answer is simpler than you might think.
“The best lake, hands down, or river, or any body of water is the one that’s closest to your place. What people have to realize is how you get good at angling is time on the water.”
Ruiz says the biggest misconception is you have to “go up north” to catch the big fish. During this time of social distancing Ruiz says going off the beaten path to a smaller local lake, river, or stream may be the best way to find plenty of space for your fishing adventures.
