Message from Superintendent Paul Peterson
Thank you to the entire Mankato Area Public Schools’ community for your support of students during the COVID-19 era of schooling. Distance learning is requiring significant time and energy from not only our faculty, staff and students, but parents and caregivers across the school district. We appreciate the efforts of everyone during these unprecedented times and do not take for granted the strong community spirit that is on full display.
As shared last week, distance learning will be in place for the remainder of this school year, and MAPS staff are gearing up to make the next month of learning as meaningful as possible.
To prepare for the final month of distance learning, there will be no school on Friday, May 1 and Monday, May 4. These will be staff planning days. Although school is not in session on May 1 and 4, nutrition services and MAPS emergency care continue to be offered on these days. Please see important information below on changes to both of these programs beginning Monday, May 4.
Site changes
Since summer facility projects will start early May, the following site changes are being implemented:
Nutrition services
