Congressman Collin Peterson said Wednesday in Worthington that everyone at the J-B-S pork processing plant will have to be tested and protective measures put in place:

“If we open up again, we’re not gonna be shoulder-to-shoulder. It’s gonna be spaced out. We’re not gonna be able to produce as much as they were before, but hopefully we’ll get it open.”

Peterson says as chairman of the U-S House Ag Committee, he’ll make sure a plan remains in place so plants aren’t shut down again:

“Whatever it is, we are not gonna go through a situation where we’re caught flat-footed like we were in this situation.”
