State DFL lawmakers today outlined their economic security agenda aimed at helping Minnesotans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Priorities include a $100 million investment in housing assistance, providing economic security for personal care assistants and expanded broadband in rural areas.
“Our neighbors and communities need us right now, now is the time to invest in Minnesotans, so they can not only get through the public health emergency that we are living but so they can thrive into the future, we cannot turn our backs on Minnesotans.”
Senate Minority Leader Susan Kent. Many of the proposals are moving forward in the DFL-led House, but face an uphill battle in the Republican-led Senate.
