Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, 21.8 percent of coronavirus patients in the state have required hospitalization. Taking away the patients that have recovered, currently, 13.8 percent of active COVID-19 cases are hospitalized. Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcom says some more numbers are moving in the right direction.
“314 patients are currently in the hospital, 120 of those are in intensive care,” said Malcom. “Over the past week, we are seeing a slight shift in more hospitalization of the non-intensive care beds.”
MDH says as of Tuesday 301 Minnesotans have died from COVID-19.
