More and more people are calling on Governor Tim Walz to loosen restrictions on business closings and his executive stay-at-home order. Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison says as long as the order is in place it will be enforced, but he adds…

“We don’t want people to obey the law simply because they fear getting a misdemeanor, we want them to obey this executive order so they can save their grandmother, so they can save their family members, that’s what it’s really all about. This is a public safety measure.”

Ellison says states that haven’t put stay-at-home orders in place have seen spikes in COIVD-19 cases–including neighboring South Dakota. Hundreds of protestors gathered outside the governor’s residence in St. Paul late last week calling on Walz to put Minnesotans back to work.
