Governor Tim Walz says he doesn’t know yet, whether he’ll extend a stay-at-home order past May 4th, but that Minnesota is “hitting a really critical time” in the fight against COVID-19:

“We’ve done so well, and it might be a double-edged sword for us. …I’m just afraid people are ready to bust out, and then this thing spikes up.”

Walz indicates when the time is right the state economy will re-open in phases:

“I think the most unfortunate thing is, the things we probably want more than anything — big sporting events, crowded bars and restaurants, large backyard parties — are gonna be some of the last things that come back on.”
