Governor Walz says a substantial increase in COVID-19 testing is necessary for the state’s economy to re-open. State Senator Julie Rosen of Vernon Center says Minnesota can get there because of the leadership of two quality healthcare organizations.

“The Mayo system and the University of Minnesota both have done a wonderful job in increasing the state’s capacity of testing,” says Rosen. “So I think we can get there and it’s key that we do so to get our arms wrapped around this.”

Walz says he has a goal of testing five thousand Minnesotans per day and up to 40-thousand every week.
