There were eight more coronavirus deaths reported Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health.
“The eight deaths from Tuesday were all long-term care residents,” said Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcom.
Malcom says a concentrated effort of infection control is taking place in congregate care facilities and they’re beginning to see results.
“There are 108 facilities with cases but half of those have only one case,” said Malcom. “That’s a sign that infection control is working.”
Malcom says 65 of the state’s 87 deaths have occurred in congregate care facilities.
