Minnesota Governor Tim Walz says more testing must be done before the state’s economy can re-open. Walz says so far the state has conducted 40-thousand COVID-19 tests.
“We need to be testing 40-thousand a week or more,” said Walz. “We need to make sure the testing and PPE are there. Those people that are saying to open the economy, they’re right. But to do so we need to be testing five-thousand people a day.”
Walz says he’s challenging the state to reach the capacity within the next few weeks so that everyone who wants a test can be tested.
