U-S Senator Tina Smith says Minnesotans waiting for their forthcoming COVID-19 stimulus checks should know:

“Those payments will start arriving to people through the mechanism that people use to pay their income taxes, it will arrive the other way from the IRS back to families through a direct deposit into your bank account, and if you pay your taxes through a paper check, then it will come to you through a paper check.”

Individuals with a gross income of less than $75,000 are eligible to receive up to $1,200. Joint filers, like married couples, are eligible to receive up to $2,400 if their adjusted gross income is less than $150,000. And both of those groups can receive up to $500 per qualifying child.
