With 385-thousand Minnesotans and 16.6 million Americans out of work due to COVID-19, are we reaching a point where the cure could be worse than the virus? Governor Tim Walz says it’s not an either-or situation.
“If I knew someone couldn’t swim and I prevented them from jumping in the water, I wouldn’t get credit for preventing them from drowning”, said Walz. “But it would make sense to keep them from going into the water. We’re trying to avoid a situation where our only choices are protecting the economy or protecting public health.”
The Minnesota Department of Health reported 11 COVID-19 deaths Thursday bringing the state’s total to 50.
