A stay-at-home order remains in effect across Minnesota and Governor Tim Walz says he’s troubled that two-thirds of the police calls over the weekend were domestic-violence-related:
“Can’t stress enough: You do not need to stay in your home in a dangerous situation. There are places of sanctuary for you to get out of that.”
One positive law enforcement effect of the order: D-W-I’s were down dramatically, and traffic levels have dropped over 70 percent in rural Minnesota and nearly 80 percent in metro areas.
