The Minnesota Department of Education director says distance learning is off to a good start in the state. Heather Mueller says the goal is to make distance learning similar to a regular school day.
“The location and the approach are different, but the learning remains the same,” said Mueller. “The work that we’re doing and the learning taking place is not all that different than what’s going on in the school day.”
Mueller credits educators for their efforts in planning over the eight-day period in which schools were originally shut down. Distance learning in the state will continue until at least May fourth.
