Governor Tim Walz knows the “Stay at Home” order now in effect is not ideal for most Minnesotans but says it’s needed to slow the spread of coronavirus cases:

“What you are seeing is the circle spreading out. And of course, they are staring out in more concentrated areas because there are more people and the chance of spread is greater. But there will be a point where it will reach all 87 counties.”

Walz says the order will also help the state’s hospitals continue to prepare for an influx of patients who will need critical care.
