Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has joined a bipartisan group of 32 attorneys general from across the country in warning Amazon, Facebook, Ebay, Walmart, and Craigslist that they are not exempt from their states’ legal restrictions on price-gouging.

“Those who think they’re going to make a killing on an opportunity and see this as a moment to take advantage of people, please know that your customers are probably going to tell on you, and the attorney general is going to take enforcement action.”

Ellison is urging the businesses to more rigorously monitor price-gouging practices by online sellers that use their services.
