The President of the Minnesota Farm Bureau says he appreciates what lawmakers are doing to help agriculture deal with the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’ve seen a decline in commodity prices,” said Blue Earth county farmer Kevin Paap. “There remains the possibility of plant closures or other disruptions but we have got to have long-term viability in agriculture.”
Paap says agriculture is committed to doing its part to help the current situation
“We still have a safe and secure food supply,” said Paap. “Everybody in the system is doing a great job and we will continue to maintain a safe and secure food supply.”
Paap made the comments Friday to the Linder Farm Network.
