Waseca County opened a phone line to assist its residents in filling essential needs when all other avenues fail. This is meant to assist the public in remaining in their homes when under quarantine or self-isolation due to illness, or the prevention of illness for highly susceptible people. Residents may call 507-835-0690 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday to place requests.
If you are able to meet your needs by using other local resources, we would encourage you to do so. Our communities are full of caring individuals who have graciously stepped forward to assist their neighbors. If you are interested in helping now or in the future, there are many ways to do so. One is to register on MN Responds (mnresponds.org), state-wide database counties can use to request assistance.
Another effort to explore is with Lead for Minnesota (www.leadforminnesota.org/waseca) who is working locally to connect caring people with those who have small needs for assistance or the need to hear a friendly voice. Similarly, faith communities have already been responding to their congregations in outstanding ways. Thank you all for your efforts large and small to ease the burden and provide support to those who need it. All updates to hours will be posted on the Waseca County website https://www.co.waseca.mn.us/, the Waseca County Facebook pages and distributed to local media
