“There is going to be an extension around that.”

…Governor Tim Walz said today (Tues) about his now one-week-old order closing bars and restaurants in Minnesota because of COVID-19. And for how long could that closure order continue?

“Can’t be indefinite, but what I don’t want to set things up for is that, I can’t tell you that it’s going to be open on that date.”

And on Minnesota’s closed schools, the governor reiterated today:

“There may a point where it just makes sense to say, our children aren’t coming back this year (and) we’re gonna finish the best we can.”

The governor’s initial order requires schools remain closed through Friday.
