In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Greater Mankato United Way and the Mankato Area Foundation have come together to create a community response fund. Barb Kaus is the Executive Director of the Greater Mankato United Way.

“We created this fund to assist all of these non-profits in a joint effort to address emerging needs within our region,” said Barb Kaus, the executive director of the Greater Mankato United Way. “It makes sense to come together to help all these agencies do the great work that they do.”

Kaus says all of the money will help area organizations.

“One hundred percent of the dollars will go to local agencies,” said Kaus. “From there they will go on-line and they apply for funding, we review the request through our process and from there funds are given out to the agencies to help them do they great work that they do.”
