Governor Tim Walz signed three executive orders aiming to strengthen Minnesota’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

One order would prohibit price gouging on essential goods “necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the public.” One order authorizes the state Human Services commissioner to seek federal authority to waive or modify requirements for certain programs that support Minnesota families. And the third order would allow the department to modify state requirements to ensure that services can be delivered to Minnesotans safely and without undue delay. All three of the orders are subject to approval by the Executive Council.
