As COVID-19 spreads and more people are sequestering themselves at home, U of M associate professor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Jennifer Granick, has this important message for pet owners.

“The world health organization and the CDC and the guidance from the American Veterinary Medical Association, they are all saying that there’s no indication at this point that our pets can either get infected or spread the infection.”

Granick says owners who test positive for the virus should limit interaction with their pets to be safe.
