Xcel Energy will not be disconnecting residential customers’ electric or natural gas service during the COVID-19 outbreak. Spokesman John Marshall:

“We really we want to ensure that they have the energy they need to power their homes and keep their families safe. So again we won’t be disconnecting customers electric or gas at this time until further notice.”

Marshall encourages you to still reach out to customer service if you foresee problems paying utility bills. He says they are willing to arrange payment plans and help meet customer needs.
