The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed the second case of COVID-19 coronavirus in the state after testing 31 people over the weekend. The patient is a Carver County resident in their 50s who was likely exposed to the virus while in Europe in late February. The patient is in isolation at home and is recovering. Governor Tim Walz says, just like with seasonal flu, you can take steps to keep yourself healthy.

“We’re at a point where Minnesotans have a very important role to play in limiting the spread of this outbreak in our state.”

The governor says that includes covering your cough with your sleeve, washing your hands with warm water for at least 20 seconds, and staying home if you’re sick.
