At their February 26     meeting, the Planning Commission recommended adoption

The applicant, Downtown Properties, LLC, is requesting a conditional use permit and certificate of design compliance for development of a 117 room hotel above the Cherry Street ramp in the CBD-C, Central Business District – Core.

The applicant proposes to construct a 117-unit hotel over the existing 156-stall Cherry Street parking ramp. The proposal includes a five-story structure (two of which are the existing ramp) that will retain 121 of the existing parking stalls for private use in the ramp. Previous agreements allow the developer the ability to develop over the existing ramp with a provision to replace parking
