“This is really a very high priority, job one, even from the standpoint of protecting the citizens of Minnesota, in terms of not only their health but so many other things we understand about the ripple effects of a major public health challenge like this.”

MDH is asking for nearly $21 million in new funding to support staffing, disease investigation, monitoring, lab analysis, public information, and statewide response coordination.
