Advocates for a ban on conversion therapy are pushing state lawmakers to act this session. They’re hopeful something will pass after the Senate introduced a bill with bipartisan support Thursday to end the practice in Minnesota. Reverend Dwayne Davis opposes conversion therapy…

“I want people to know that as a minister of the gospel, that I do not believe theologically or biblically that this is an appropriate way to respond to those who tell you that they are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.”

A House version of the bill is pending a floor vote. 20 states and more than 70 cities across the country have already banned conversion therapy.
